When the People Aren’t Buying What You’re Selling, Cheating is the Only Way You Can Win Elections
In a recent exchange with members of the press, President Trump was asked what his next priority will be after such a productive first 6 months in office. His response: the integrity of our country’s elections. In June, the Department of Justice (DOJ) began to assess election procedures in a number of states that have generated complaints about election integrity from the electorate. Wisconsin is included in this process.
For the many Wisconsin voters who have tried with no success to get elected officials and the Wisconsin Elections Commission to address the unverifiability of our current election systems, this is a welcome development. However, early indications suggest the Trump administration will have to be tenacious and laser focused in pursuit of the truth to overcome the lies that are already flowing from Meagan Wolfe, Administrator of the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC), with the full support of the members of the WEC and abetted by the media who want nothing to do with pursuing the truth.
On June 17, Wolfe received a letter from the Department of Justice requesting information about the procedures for maintaining the Voter Registration List; how the WEC coordinates with other databases and agencies in the state; the process for removing ineligible voters; how many ineligible voters remain on the Registered Voter List and why; how WEC determines and removes duplicate registrations; and how the WEC determines and removes non-citizens and people who have moved out of the state. The inquiry ended with a request for a copy of Wisconsin’s Registered Voter List.
Meagan Wolfe is a masterful liar and she bobbed and weaved her way through the responses to the DOJ’s questions. Lying comes in many forms. Omission. Exaggeration. Distortion. Deflection. Blatant lies. People may try to convince themselves the truth can be nuanced, but lying is lying. Bill Clinton is still mocked to this day for his famous answer to a deposition question: “It depends on what the meaning of is is”. One can only hope there will be a price for Wolfe and the others responsible to pay for the deliberate lies that laced her responses to the DOJ.
Wolfe began by reiterating the law requiring a computerized list to “serve as the single system for storing and managing the official list of registered voters” demonstrating that she understands her legal responsibilities. She described regular coordination of the WEC with the Department of Transportation (DOT), the Department of Corrections (DOC) and the Department of Health Services (DHS). As it relates to the DOT, she said the WEC verifies the “voter’s name, date of birth, driver’s license number, and residency match” with the Department of Motor Vehicles. She made no mention of the 250,000 driver’s licenses that have been issued by the state of Wisconsin to non-citizens who are residing lawfully in the state but ineligible to vote. Nothing in the verification procedure she described would prevent a person with a legal driver’s license who is a non-citizen from being on the Registered Voter List.
Wolfe blatantly lied when she responded “voters identified as ineligible are inactivated in the database and removed from the voter rolls.” Wisconsin has a population of about 5.9 million residents (citizens and non-citizens). Roughly 4.4 million (about 75%) are estimated to be age 18 or older (legal voting age). The total number of voter names on the statewide Registered Voter List found on the Badger Voters website managed by the WEC exceeds 8 million people.
One can only imagine that Meagan Wolfe enjoyed thumbing her nose at the DOJ as she closed her letter by informing them Wisconsin law requires her to charge a fee to anyone who requests a copy of the Registered Voter List. There are no exceptions and the fee is $12,500. She took no steps to have the fee waived making it clear the DOJ can expect nothing in the spirit of cooperation from Wisconsin’s WEC.
When the Media isn’t Yawning, it’s Lying
Members of the media are not only disinterested in any concerns about election integrity; they actively work to discredit them. There was not much coverage of the DOJ inquiry into Wisconsin’s election procedures, but what there was focused largely on the DOJ not responding (so far) to the demand they pay the fee if they want the voter list.
Excerpts from several publications reflect the themes of the coverage. The Wisconsin Examiner: “…President Donald Trump has remained fixated on disproven conspiracy theories that the 2020 election was stolen…” Concerning the letter from the DOJ, the questions “surround topics that have been common complaints among purveyors of election conspiracy theories…” Later in the article those who have questions about election integrity are referred to as “election deniers”.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Molly Beck never seems concerned about playing the role of an unrestrained mouthpiece for the Democratic Party. Her contribution was to serve as the public relations arm of the office of Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski by publishing its take on the DOJ request with it is “our understanding that letters went out to all Democratic Secretaries of State as part of a coordinated and cynical witch hunt about the 2020 election that will hinder or hurt our hardworking local election officials.” (Correction: Very Republican Florida was one of the states that received a DOJ inquiry.)
Irrefutable Truths
-
Wisconsin elections are unverifiable due to a number of system flaws that the Governor, Legislators and the Wisconsin Elections Commission refuse to correct.
-
As of July 26, there were 8,247,329 voter names listed on the Badger Voters website maintained by the WEC. The website invites people to “create a request for voter data from the voter registration system” on this page. 3,769,538 voters were listed as “active” and 4,477,791 were listed as “inactive”. These names provide a large reservoir available to sophisticated hackers.
-
250,000 driver’s licenses have been issued by the state of Wisconsin to non-citizens who reside in the state legally. These licenses are identical to citizen licenses and there is no mechanism to prevent them from being used to register a non-citizen to vote. A valid driver’s license is all that is required to register to vote and to cast a vote.

Hacking into databases is a regular occurrence in Wisconsin and throughout the world by those with evil intent. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection posts data breaches online that have been reported to them and affect Wisconsin Consumers. There are literally millions of Wisconsinites who have been harmed in the current postings.
Complacency is an Enemy of Freedom
Political operatives with an agenda rely on the short attention span of the American people to allow them to weather the sources of our discontent. They count on their ability to ride out any issue longer than the people are willing to make it their priority. There is a serious risk that the repetitive theme of unverifiable elections becomes like a broken record to an electorate that feels like it’s beating its head against a wall. But if we allow complacency to set in and move on without insisting this issue is resolved, we do so at our own peril. As we watch communists openly try to overthrow the democratic republic in New York City and other increasingly brazen attempts to fundamentally change our country, there will be nothing more important than the verifiability of our elections to know with certainty that the reported results reflect the will of the people.
We will be watching the DOJ’s next moves with great interest and optimism. Trump has proven himself to be like a dog with a bone when something is important. We can only hope his DOJ is just getting started.
There is not a single credible defense for millions of ineligible voter names on the Registered Voter List and you will not hear one offered by those who refuse to take corrective action. There is not a single credible defense of hundreds of thousands of driver’s licenses that are not clearly marked “not for voting” and you will not hear one offered by those who refuse to take corrective action. There is only one logical explanation for the resistance to verifiable elections. When the people aren’t buying what you’re selling, cheating is the only way you can win elections.
