“In a Time of Universal Deceit, Telling the Truth is a Revolutionary Act”

                                                                                           George Orwell

I am 5 feet 10 inches tall.  I detested being taller than most of the boys in my 8th grade class.  I felt embarrassed to be the second to the last person in my 8th grade graduation procession when we were lined up by height.  In the summer before I entered high school, the guidance counselor met with my parents and me in our home for an orientation meeting (they actually did that in 1966).  He was a very tall man and when he commented it was so nice to see a tall girl who didn’t slouch, it seemed to me like an odd thing to say.  I became even more convinced being tall was not a good thing.  When working as a cashier at the local Ben Franklin store when I was 15, a mother who was about 5 feet tall, waiting in line to be checked out, whispered to her young daughter loud enough for me to hear, “You’re lucky you’re not going to be tall”. That stung. As I passed through the awkward stages of growing up, I became very comfortable in my own skin.  I realized every size and shape has its advantages and disadvantages and spent my energy on things I could control. It wasn’t long until, as a young adult, height faded into the background as part of the human experience. I came to love being tall and what I perceive to be its advantages but I know this for certain, I am 5 feet 10 inches whether I like it or not.

If, during my formative years, when my height was a source of unhappiness to me, I had gone to my family doctor and told him I could not be happy unless I was shorter, he would not have responded that he would help me change my height.  That would have been a lie.

Absolute Truth is Absolute Truth

The human species has two genders, male and female.  Males have one “x” and one “y” chromosome and females have two “x” chromosomes.  Human gender can no more be changed than my height could have been changed, yet we have a medical establishment pushing the lie that individuals can choose their gender, change their gender, or choose to be no gender at all.

Those Who Do Not Tell the Truth are Liars

Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was asked in her 2022 confirmation hearing to define a woman.  She refused, saying, “I can’t. Not in this context. I’m not a biologist.”  Brown Jackson, a Biden nominee, was confirmed.  Now seated on the Court, she not only has clear ideas about the definition of a woman, but also a political agenda that drives her decision making.  During oral arguments in a case currently before the Court about the constitutionality of states banning “transgender women” from participating in women’s sports, Jackson tipped her hand when she asked isn’t treating “transgender women different than ciswomen” (a term that was invented to refer to the birth gender of a person) discrimination?  Brown Jackson is willing to pretend a man can undergo a gender change at will and become a “transgender woman”.

In stunning testimony before a recent Senate hearing on the safety of abortion medications, Dr. Nisha Verma, an OB/GYN physician representing a group called Physicians for Reproductive Health, would not respond to the question from Senator Josh Hawley: “Can men get pregnant?”  Dr. Verma had just said that “Science and evidence should guide medicine” and Hawley said he wanted to test that premise.  Hawley pressed and Verma resisted.  She asked, “what is the goal of the question?” and told Hawley he was reducing the “complexity” of the issue and “conflating male with female”.  She added, “I represent the complex experiences of my patients” and absolutely refused to answer the straightforward yes or no question.  The exchange has gone viral on social media. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth a look because it would be hard to believe it occurred if you didn’t see it for yourself.

What do Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson and Dr. Nisha Verma have in common? They are liars with a political agenda and have no business sitting on the Supreme Court or practicing medicine.

Dr. Robert Malone is a Senior Advisor to the Independent Medical Alliance, a physician group founded in 2020 by critical care specialists with a mission to save lives and promote long-term wellness through science-based, patient-centered care.  They advocate for patient rights, informed consent, and a healthcare system that restores the doctor-patient relationship.  Many of its founding physicians bucked the medical system during the COVID pandemic for supporting non-evidence-based mandates and, as such, were targeted by the medical establishment and media for destruction.  They emerged as the real heroes of the pandemic for their willingness to tell the truth.

In response to Dr. Verma’s outrageous performance at the Senate Committee hearing, Dr. Malone described how the American Association of Medical Colleges has a stranglehold on the education of physicians and how wokism now pervades the medical training system and the certification process within the medical profession.  It is well worth the short time it takes to view. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1DkWPm81sJ/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Dr. Malone explains that the training process that now dominates the medical profession sees “gender as subjective” and a future world of artificial wombs and human cloning.  He describes the “gibberish” that was heard from Dr. Verma as required of young practitioners if they wish to avoid the wrath of the establishment elites.

Movement in the Right Direction

Earlier this month, an article was published in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel titled “GOP Seeks Name, Pronoun Permission Law”.  Republican members of Wisconsin’s legislature have introduced a bill to require school boards throughout the state to implement policies to inform a parent or guardian of student requests to change their pronouns from their birth gender.  In the article the Bill was described as having “no chance of being signed into law by Democratic Governor Tony Evers”.  With the expected liberal bias, the article describes the issue as parental authority in schools versus “treatment of trans youths.”  The article quoted many who spoke in opposition to the Bill at a hearing in Madison.  The Bill was called “unnecessary and potentially violence-inducing”; it was alleged it would prevent educators from “engaging in the best practice” with respect to pronouns; and would strip students of their autonomy. Though this Bill will face a steep uphill climb, those who understand transgenderism is a lie and minor children have no autonomy separate from their parents, can take heart in the fact the Bill has been introduced where the battle can be fought.

In another encouraging development, the Gender Health Clinic at Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee and the Pediatric and Adolescent Transgender Health Clinic at UW Health in Madison have paused their “gender affirming care treatment” for minors in response to the Trump administration’s proposed rule change to deny Medicaid and Medicare payments to any hospital or clinic providing “gender affirming care services” to children 17 and younger. Both systems will cease treatments involving surgery or drugs, but will continue to provide mental health services to those experiencing “gender dysphoria”.  Hospitals and clinics cannot survive without Medicare and Medicaid and the American people are fortunate to have a President who is willing to leverage all of the tools available to reverse the wrongs that have been imposed on us.  As would be expected, Attorney General Josh Kaul has called the proposed rule change a violation of federal statutes and undermining of the state’s authority to regulate medicine.  More lawsuits cannot be far behind.

A word about the pediatric providers within the UW Health system and the Children’s Wisconsin system.  As the Vice President for Patient Care at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison for 22 years, I worked closely with administrators and clinicians from both systems to provide pediatric care that was beyond the scope of my hospital.  Both systems have many dedicated and highly competent clinicians who, I have no doubt, fully understand that transgenderism is a lie.  It is much easier and safer for health care providers everywhere to go along to get along, but now is the time for truth telling. Providers of conscience and integrity, from both within and outside of the pediatric specialties, must step up and loudly voice opposition to this evil lie.

A Revolution of Truth Telling

The fight to take our country back has many battlefronts. Whether taking on corrupt career politicians, the corrupt media, battling the medical establishment or education hierarchies that have lost their way, or defeating the communists who are trying to overtake our free republic, truth is one of the core principles at stake.  The path forward must have no tolerance for lies.  George Orwell, novelist and social critic, got it right when he said, “In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” We are living in an era of deceit that will destroy us if we allow it. It’s time for a revolution of truth telling.
