Reject and Reclaim
Political operatives with evil plans are hard at work trying to influence the outcome of Wisconsin’s 2026 elections. They have no moral compass to constrain them; dirt and deception are the tools of their trade. They never let the truth get in their way. The freedom loving people of Wisconsin, who care more about honesty than they do about winning, will need to mobilize in massive numbers across the state to expose and defeat them.
Last week voters throughout the state received one of what is certain to be an endless barrage of mailed flyers attempting to deceive them about the conservative candidates running for elected office. This piece was particularly despicable because it was disguised as the “Spring 2026 Non-partisan Voter Guide for the Wisconsin Supreme Court.” There are no non-partisan voter guides in our hyper-partisan political environment. Paid for by The Justice Project Action, this colorful, expensively produced flyer featured a side-by-side comparison of Chris Taylor and Maria Lazar, the candidates for Supreme Court on the April ballot. The crafters of this hit piece used cherry-picked and manipulated information about each candidate to lead the voters to the “non-partisan” conclusion (without saying so) that Chris Taylor is the right choice for Wisconsin.
Serious investigative journalism, a hallmark of the free press that our Founders envisioned would follow the truth wherever it leads, has been nearly nonexistent for a long time. The liberal political biases and dishonesty of many in the media have transformed them into a public relations arm of the Democratic Party and left us to fend for ourselves in the search for truth.
Start Pulling on the Thread and It Just Keeps Coming
My investigation into The Justice Project Action was like pulling on a loose thread that just keeps coming. The Justice Project Action is a 527 political organization. ProPublica, an investigative journalism organization with a focus on exposing abuses of power, corruption, and betrayal of public trust, reports “Every year hundreds of millions of dollars flow through little known political organizations called 527s”. A 527 is a tax-exempt organization whose primary purpose is attempting to influence the elections of candidates to public office at any level.
The Justice Project Action proved to be a secretive organization that is difficult to investigate. It runs a website called “Wisconsin Decides” that contains little information other than an on-line version of the mailer that was sent out last week and information about how to vote. I was unable to find out anything about who is leading this enterprise, but I did learn that an organization called The Justice Project, a political action committee (PAC), contributes to The Justice Project Action. The two organizations share an address in Washington DC.
The Justice Project supports and opposes candidates for elective office. It is run by Democratic activists. This led to:
=>Our American Future Action, one of the major contributors to The Justice Project ($4 million). Our American Future Action is part of Our American Future Foundation which supports Democratic candidates and promotes liberal policies including abortion and “pro-worker initiatives.” This led to:
=>Our American Future Action’s support of an organization called A Better Wisconsin Together, a “research and communications hub for progressives” that supports liberal candidates and causes. This led to:
=>A Better Wisconsin Together is an affiliate of Progress Now, a dark money organization that is not legally required to publicly disclose its donors. Dark money organizations spend about a billion dollars each election cycle trying to influence election results. They exploit loopholes in election finance laws to keep their donors anonymous and avoid scrutiny by the Internal Revenue Service.
A Better Wisconsin Together was founded in 2020 and since then has spent nearly $11 million on elections in Wisconsin. The organization’s Executive Director is Chris Walloch, a former Coordinated Campaign Director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.
A Better Wisconsin Together was hard at work in the Republican primary of the 2023 Wisconsin Supreme Court race to manipulate which conservative candidate would face liberal Janet Protasiewicz (their candidate) in the general election. The organization spent over $2.1 million opposing Judge Jennifer Dorow against former Justice Daniel Kelly because they thought Kelly would be easier to beat. When Kelly won the primary, the organization then spent almost $2 million opposing him in the general election. He was defeated.
The tangled web of alliances I was able to uncover barely scratches the surface of the dirt and deceit that are infiltrating our elections. It is exceedingly difficult to follow the money through organizations with sinister agendas that are deliberately named to sound like the embodiment of the American spirit and values. That’s just how the liars who are claiming to bring a “non-partisan voter guide” to the people of Wisconsin want it.
The Many Ways Liars Lie
The Democratic political machine is ramping up a vicious campaign to try to destroy Maria Lazar in the race for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. Hers is just the first of many smear campaigns we will see this year waged against conservative candidates throughout the state. They are the work products of liars who will look us in the eye and tell us black is white.
To date, they are trying to take Lazar down with a two-pronged approach. One is to pretend to be helpful; an objective and neutral source of information for voters to consider. The recent mailer is a classic example. The other is to try to make Lazar into a bogeyman in ads that lie about her positions. The Democrats are trying to resurface abortion as an issue in Wisconsin, and it is high on the list of lies they will craft about Lazar. The television ad they are currently running implies she will try to make all abortions illegal in Wisconsin, claiming she “opposes a woman’s right to an abortion. No exceptions.” Viewers are urged to call Judge Lazar and tell her she is too extreme on abortion for Wisconsin. I have included links to 2 interviews with Lazar that are worth viewing. If you do, you will likely find yourself outraged when you hear the lies being aired about her. You will know they deliberately distort her words.

Facts That Can Be Verified
The truth will be hard to come by in the election propaganda that will be spewed by both Parties this year. Here are facts you can verify for yourself about Maria Lazar and Chris Taylor.
FACT: Maria Lazar has never been a member of a political party. She describes herself politically as conservative leaning. She was part of a small, private law practice for 20 years and an Assistant Attorney General in the Justice Department prior to becoming a judge. She was elected to positions as a Judge on the Circuit and Appellate courts.
FACT: Chris Taylor is a member of the Democratic Party. She was the Attorney and Policy Director for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin before her election as a Democrat to the Wisconsin Assembly. Nearly a decade later, she was appointed by a Democratic Governor as a Circuit Court Judge and later elected an Appellate Court Judge.
FACT: Maria Lazar has one of the most robust websites we have seen in any election. It is full of details about who she is, why she is running, and her judicial philosophy. She has placed her legal opinions on the site to make it easy for voters to learn how she has ruled in previous cases. She uses an educational style to equip voters with the information they need to understand the law, the role of the judiciary and where she’s coming from.
FACT: Chris Taylor has one of the flimsiest websites we have seen in any election. She provides little information that will help voters evaluate her and describes her judicial philosophy as “people-centered, grounded in making sure people get a fair chance in our courts.” Unlike Lazar who stresses the absolute requirement that judges stick to the facts of the case and the law as written, Taylor “knows how important it is for our courts to be places where people feel heard, respected, and treated equally under the law.” She speaks the language of liberal extremists. Voters have good reason to expect that if Taylor is elected to the Court, she will be an activist judge like the 4 liberal Justices who have endorsed her.
FACT: Lazar and Taylor have long track records. Lazar has made hers easily accessible to voters. Taylor and her backers know Wisconsin voters will not knowingly elect a liberal extremist, and they are going to make it difficult for voters to uncover the truth about positions she has championed and how she has voted and ruled in her previous roles.
FACT: Maria Lazar has expressed the desire to appear side by side with Chris Taylor in forums across the state and debate her as often as possible. Taylor will not appear at events with Lazar and has only agreed to a single debate. It will take place on Wednesday, March 25 at 7:00 p.m. Watch it. If the media moderators conduct a legitimate, unbiased debate, Lazar will have an opportunity to set the record straight.
Reject and Reclaim
I do not know Maria Lazar. I have heard her speak several times and I am paying attention. She presents herself with more substance than we typically see in candidates for any elected office; knowledgeable, transparent, experienced, principled, decisive, and willing to engage on any issue. I believe her when she says she will bring independence, impartiality and integrity to the Court and her personal views will not play a role in her rulings. I take it seriously when she cautions that if we continue to elect political activists to the Court, we will have a “super legislature” rather than a Supreme Court. In my opinion, electing Maria Lazar to the Supreme Court of Wisconsin will be a significant win in the fight for freedom.
There will be a lot of dirt and deception thrown at us from both Parties during the 2026 election cycle. Now is the time to reject it all, exercise our own good judgment, and take another meaningful step forward in reclaiming our state.
