Another Reason to Defeat the Democrats…

 

Wisconsin allows a woman to legally kill her unborn child up until 20 weeks of pregnancy.  There is no more divisive issue than abortion in our country, and, though many find this “right” deeply sickening and morally repugnant, we live in a democratic republic, and this is the law.  The issue has remained somewhat in the background since this “compromise” was reached.  The pro-abortion contingent lives with the legal limits, and those who know killing an unborn child is wrong, reluctantly live with the reality with the non-negotiable demand that not a cent of their tax money is used in the killing.

 

Nevertheless, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (MJS) on October 7 carried a front-page headline as big and bold as those used for very important news that declared “Crowley pushes abortion right.” According to the article, David Crowley, the Democratic candidate for Wisconsin Governor, is advocating for a constitutional amendment “potentially opening the door to overturning a state law that limits abortion access to 20 weeks of pregnancy.”  When asked repeatedly by reporters if the effect of his proposal would be to overturn the law that limits abortion to 20 weeks, Crowley would not answer. 

 

The Democrats have never placed a sleazier or less qualified candidate for Governor on the ballot than David Crowley.  He is desperately trying to resurrect abortion as a campaign issue to deflect from his record of incompetent management as the Milwaukee County Executive. In response to Crowley’s call for a constitutional amendment, his Republican opponent, Tom Tiffany answered, “If you look at a decade ago, when I was in the state legislature, I voted for a five-month bill and that bill became law in Wisconsin, and it is the law in Wisconsin currently, and I stand by that law and I will uphold it.”

 

The battle for parental rights

 

The events surrounding the recent forced retirement of the Superintendent of the Winneconne School District serve as a stark reminder that sinister goings-on involving the children of Wisconsin can take place right under our noses.  Winneconne Community School District is in Winnebago County and has fewer than 2,000 students in its elementary, middle, and high schools.  Earlier this year, an 18-year-old male student asked to be called a preferred female name at the graduation ceremony and the district agreed.  His parents objected and his mother called the District “100 percent to blame” for their role in perpetuating the student’s confusion about who he is.  A school counselor said the school would issue two diplomas – one in the legal name and one in the requested name.

 

The conflict that ensued brought to light that the student had been undergoing what is being called a “secret social transition” for years since he told his parents in 2023 when he was a sophomore that he thought he was a girl.  Despite his parents objections, the school called him by a female name and pronouns without their knowledge.  The administrator justified this as protecting the student from ostracism or abuse at home.

 

While the battle was waged over whether the parents or the school have the ultimate say in Winneconne, another family reported that the high school secretly transitioned their child from female to male without telling them and against their wishes.  Today, in the post high school phase of her life, that student now identifies as the female she is.

 

We do not know where else in Wisconsin the rights of parents are being usurped by education systems with a political agenda. In Nazi Germany, Adolph Hitler targeted the nation’s children because, he said, “He alone who owns the youth gains the future!” In the fight to take our country back, our position is unwavering.  Parental supremacy must remain sacrosanct in all matters related to their children.

 

Gender Dysphoria is a disorder of the mind

 

Liberal extremists have been aggressively trying to normalize the disorder of the mind the American Psychiatric Association has given the diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). They are pushing the lie that humans can choose their gender, change their gender, or choose to be no gender at all. There is no way to measure the confusion, unhappiness and self-harm that have resulted from telling this lie to impressionable young children in their formative years, but there are now an estimated 2.8 million “transgender” Americans age 13 and older. 

 

The transgender agenda penetrated deep into American society while we were not paying attention. Gender, a term that historically meant biological sex, has been co-opted as “a social construct” called “gender identity” that refers to the internal psychological sense one has of being male or female, regardless of one’s actual biological sex.  Medical science has been infested by extremists willing to advance the lie and do horrific things to the bodies and minds of troubled individuals.  It is now common to visit a physician’s office and be asked if you are male, female, or other.

 

The University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Law School houses The Williams Institute, which is described as a think tank focused on sexual orientation and gender identity law.  Last month, the Institute published a “study” suggesting that a significant number of the estimated 1.3 million transgender individuals who are eligible to vote in this country may face barriers to voting caused by mismatches between the ID required and their voter registration information.  The name, picture, and/or gender may not be consistent with the person presenting to vote.

 

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel devoted a half page article to the Williams Institute findings titled “Trans voters may face hurdles in the midterms. State voter ID laws could invalidate documents.”  The article details the results of the study, and concludes with how these “conditions prompt anxiety.”  As is its standard practice, the MJS did no serious investigative reporting to explain to the reader the facts about how changes to ID in Wisconsin apply to every voter.  If they had, they would not have been able to perpetuate the lie that Wisconsin, described as a “strict voter ID” state in the Institute’s study, creates barriers to eligible voters.

 

Here are the facts.  In Wisconsin, voters can use their state issued driver’s license or a state issued ID that is not a driver’s license when voting.  They both contain the same information and are issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).  In Wisconsin, the ID holder is designated male or female.  Wisconsin has no “x” option in what is called the “gender marker” as some states do, but rest assured if the liberal extremists are ever allowed to take control of the state that will be just one of many changes they will make.  Wisconsin does allow an ID holder to change their gender by presenting a statement or letter from a physician, psychologist or other qualified health care provider confirming the holder’s “gender identity”.

 

A Wisconsin resident who wants to legally change their name for any reason must do so through the county court system.  After a legal name change is made, updating the name in the Social Security system is the next step.  A Social Security card with the legal name is required to change a name on the state issued ID.

 

I can attest to the simplicity of this process.  For the many years I have been married, I have used the name Joan Ellis Beglinger.  (Ellis is my maiden name. Beglinger is my married name.)  Not all of my documents reflected this as my legal name.  Three years ago I decided to clean up the discrepancies. I updated my Social Security information first.  When I received my new Social Security card, I went to the DMV to update my driver’s license and was done in a matter of minutes.  This can be done any time.  If my appearance had changed, it would have been captured by the picture that was taken in the process of producing my new license.

 

Defeat the Democrats in November

 

Truth and morality are not vague notions that are subject to debate.  They are cornerstones of a righteous society and the battleground of the so-called culture wars.  The undermining of parental supremacy, aggressive promotion of the lie of transgenderism, the sexualizing of children through schools, and advocacy for abortion on demand with no limits that were commonplace during the Biden presidency have been tamped down during Trump’s second term but are not defeated.  They are teeming beneath the surface of a sick society awaiting resurgence if the Democrats ever regain control of the Country or the State.  This is yet another reason among many to get yourself and everyone you know to the polls on November 3 and defeat the Democrats up and down the ballot.
